Manley Mere Fly in a resounding Success
Despite a very poor forecast a good turnout gathered at Manley Mere to enjoy a delicious Hot Pot lunch and raise money for the North West Air Ambulance.
Those that were unable to fly took to four or two wheels. At least six visiting Helicopters were unable to make the journey due to low cloud and drizzle, despite the weather gods trying to throw a spanner in the system, in excess of £1000 was raised for the NWAA. A big thank you to all of those who donated via our raffle ticket sales.
Winning the First Prize of a one hour session in the Bell 412 Simulator at RAF Shawbury was H269 Pilot Terry Marsh .
Six runners up will enjoy a day tour around RAF Shawbury.
At Helicentre we are already making plans for a bigger and better Fly In next year, probably bringing the venue forward to September- so keep this frequency clear and await Further instructions!
Many thanks to our hosts Mike and Jane Houlbrouke for a great Venue. A superb landing site to visit anytime, just give them a call on 01928 740 243 to let them know you are coming, no landing fees, but they hope you will spend some time in Camelion Bar and Cafe.
Don’t forget our next Venue, the ‘Christmas Party’ at the Double Tree Hilton Hotel, Chester, 7pm for 7:30pm December 2011.
