RAF Shawbury Tour

A raffle in aid of the North West Air Ambulance was held at the Helicentre Fly-in at Manley Mere last October. The prize for the winners was an amazing base tour of RAF Shawbury.

Type Rating Conversion

After you have gained your helicopter licence many people choose to convert onto a different type of helicopter. Many people choose to do this for more passenger seats or to upgrade from a piston engine helicopter to a turbine engine helicopter.

Helicentre announces that a new helicopter shipping and maritime surveillance and photography service in now available. From our helicopters we can survey, record and photograph shots and areas that would otherwise be impossible.

Robinson Safety Course

Helicentre host fully approved Robinson Safety Courses. This course consists of two day in the class room and an hours flight with an instructor.

Private Pilots Licence PPL(H)

The aim of the PPL (H) course is to train the student pilot to fly effectively and safely under Visual Flight Rules (VFR).

Night Qualification Course

A Helicopter Night Qualification is a fantastic way to broaden your horizons and to learn a new skill. Once gained, as pilot in a helicopter you will be able to fly at night, enjoying the views and the different world of aviation.

At Helicentre we have been involved in aviation for over 15 years. We provide commercial and private helicopter training as well as charter, surveying, helicopter sales and management.

Helicopter weddings in Wales!

Congratulations to Nick & Bethan Lowe who have just got married at Fort Belan and flew in a Helicopter to their reception at Pwllheli. All this was done in secret by the best man and the newlywed couple were delighted (and pretty surprised!) when a helicopter arrived as there transport. Helicentre wishes the Lowe's all the very best for the future.

Helicopter tours offered to Plas Coch Holiday Homes

Helicentre have been working closely with Plas Coch Luxury Holiday Homes offering helicopter tours exclusively for residents. Departing from Plas Coch, the helicopter tours routed around the local Welsh countryside and the Menai Bridges. All the passengers were thrilled with the helicopter ride, especially as it departed from their doorstep!

Helicentre support the North West Air Ambulance

At the Helicentre open day a competition was held "The R44 Raven II A Check". To enter the competition a donation had to be made to the North West Air Ambulance to support the great work that they do.

Helicentre fly the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power

Over the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power (CPOP) helicentre flew helicopter rides to the ticket holders who wanted to feel the real buzz and glamour of flying in a helicopter. The helicopter tours either flew around the pageant or Cheshire depending on the CPOP air display schedule.

Helicentre exhibited at the Cheshire Show on the 25th & 26th June 2011. We had a large stand which included our own hospitality area and a Robinson R44 helicopter that we flew in for display.

Helicentre Open Day Success

Helicentre's open day at Liverpool Airport proved to be a huge success. The first Robinson R66 Turbine Helicopter in Europe made an appearance on both day offering Helicentre an insite to the brand new design. Helicopter Pilot Career seminars were held and there were competitions in aid of the North West Air Ambulance. A great two days!
