This European Robinson Safety Course is designed for a range of pilot abilities, from those who have recently gained their PPL(H) to more experienced pilots and instructors. The aim is to assist you in reaching a greater level of aircraft knowledge and safety awareness.

The course is based on two days of ground school training conducted by Robinson’s European Safety expert Captain Richard Mornington-Sanford. There is a minimum of 1 hour’s flight training to complete the course. The safety flight training on each Robinson type required, will need to be booked in separately and completed soon after the ground school course has finished.

The course will include a review of past R22 and R44 accidents, their causes and how they could have been avoided, helicopter theory and critical flight conditions. It also covers the pilot operating handbook (POH), manoeuvre guide and R22 Flight Training Guide. It also has an in-depth look at the R22 and R44 systems and a review of the maintenance and pre-flight procedures, a course review, written exam and course critique.

On successful completion of the course, you will receive a Robinson Safety Certificate and logbook entry.
